Inclusive Equality and Diversity Policy
At OPPORTUNE NETWORK CIC, our mission is to help young people thrive, and we recognise that true success comes only through inclusion, equality, and respect for every individual. This policy sets out our commitment to creating an environment where everyone feels welcome, valued, and able to participate fully.

We believe diversity strengthens us. We actively welcome people from all backgrounds, cultures, identities, and experiences. We do not tolerate discrimination on any grounds, including but not limited to age, disability, gender identity or expression, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion or belief, sexual orientation, socio-economic background, or any other status protected by law.
Our approach to equality is proactive.
We aim to identify and remove barriers that prevent participation, whether they arise from structural inequalities or unconscious bias. We commit to reviewing our practices regularly and learning from the communities we serve. This includes making reasonable adjustments to ensure accessibility for those with disabilities or additional needs, and ensuring our communication is clear and inclusive.

We expect all our staff, volunteers, partners, and participants to uphold these values. Anyone working with us is required to treat others with respect and fairness. We provide training and guidance to help our team recognise and challenge discrimination or harassment, and to create welcoming, safe spaces for all.

When delivering programmes such as our Future Ready bootcamp or the Pathway Project, we are especially conscious of the importance of inclusion. We work with partners, schools, colleges, and guest speakers who share our values. Our advisory board includes experienced professionals who help ensure our work remains relevant, representative, and responsive to the needs of diverse young people.

We take complaints or concerns about discrimination, harassment, or exclusion seriously. Anyone who believes they have been treated unfairly by OPPORTUNE NETWORK CIC can raise the matter with us directly. We will investigate promptly, treat all parties fairly, and take appropriate action.

We are committed to continuous improvement. We review this policy regularly to ensure it reflects best practice and the evolving needs of our community. By promoting equality and celebrating diversity, we aim to empower all young people to develop the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to succeed.
